I first heard about Bitcoin in 2013.

Funnily enough, it was my Mum who mentioned it to me first.

"Have you heard of Bitcoin?"

I came into the room to see what she was talking about.

A guy was on the news talking about this new technology that was "going to change the world".

His investment of a few hundred dollars was now worth over $700,000.

I Googled it and after reading for a few hours, thought it was a pretty cool idea.

However, when I looked into buying some, everything seemed so complicated.

People were saying I had to send some money to a special broker in Japan and set up some special "wallet" on my computer.

I gave up.

At the time, a Bitcoin was worth about $100.

Over the next few years I kept hearing about this "revolutionary technology" and every time I read about it, I got intrigued, but kept running into the same problem.

Too complicated. No time. More important things to do.

Then in 2017, it was Bitcoin on the news again.

It had just hit $1,000 per coin and some guy on CNBC was frothing about it.

This finally lit the fire under my butt, and I managed to buy 1 Bitcoin on a US website with my credit card. It was a terrible rate with terrible fees, but I didn't care.

Then the 2017 rally happened.

I watched Bitcoin rally from $1,000 per coin to $20,000 per coin, and my mind was blown.

I knew I had to learn everything I could about this new industry and technology, because maybe that guy on the news was right.

Maybe it really was going to change the world?

It turned out to be one of the best investments of my life.

One Of My Biggest Investing Mistakes?

I used to think often about that missed opportunity in 2013.

If I had invested my $1,000 then, instead of 2017, do you know how much it would be worth today?

Over $250,000.

A quarter of a million bucks.

I won't lie, thinking about it kinda sucked.

But I don't think about it anymore.

The truth is, I don't even consider it a mistake.

I didn't invest, because I didn't know enough, and couldn't find a safe way to do it.

It took years to educate myself, but I spent thousands of hours learning form books, podcasts, interviews, reports, experimenting and research, to learn everything I could.

And guess what?

I made up for all those returns I missed out on in 2013, and much more.

I did it the hard way, but you don't have to.
