This month was a lot of fun.

I spent most of my free time building moneybren.com and the site is coming together nicely.

I finished the Start Page which is designed to be a launch page for anyone trying to get their finances together.

Even if you’ve never invested a dollar or earned a side hustle dollar in your life, that page should give you everything you need to get your foot off the mark.

I also wrote up a bunch of blog posts about things like NFTs and DeFi to help simplify some of these more advanced topics.

Another advanced blog post is my guide on how to do taxes for FIF/FDR.

This is one of the most common tax problems for individuals who invest in stock – if you need to declare FIF income but don’t know how, check it out.

We did have the first income from the site with an affiliate sale! It was a Dreamhost referral, which is the web host I recommend for anyone building a niche site. You can see my beginners guide on building a niche site here.

Even though moneybren.com is still doing baby traffic (312 views), hopefully we start to see this grow in 2023:

As for the @moneybren stock portfolio, nothing new to report, just slowly deploying cash into existing positions.

One thing we did see was a rally in Chinese stocks which was nice for the KWEB and BABA positions. Even though these positions are turbulent I am confident they will give solid returns long term.

I’m also slowly dripping cash into the Bitcoin position and am hoping to lift this to around 10% of the portfolio over time. I predict Bitcoin will bottom during Q1 or Q2 of 2023, but even at current prices I think it’s reasonable.

As for the side hustles, the football world cup was a good source of matched betting promos but still had a pretty modest month (around $600 profit).

Top 10 Holdings

A little rally in Chinese stocks after their Covid reopening bumped KWEB back into the Top 10, other than that no new positions. Nothing really on my watchlist either for now.
